Winborn Wm Cowan & J L Webb we unanously agree that the Said Nathan Harrell came to his death by the discharge of a Gun or Pistol from the hands of Elisha H. William Cowan Alfred Eason & Lodiwick White are held and firmly bound unto the State of NoCarolina in the sum of Two hundred Dollars Each to be paid to the State of N Carolina we bind our Selves our heirs Executors and Administrators jouintly and Sevrlly by these presents Signs with our hands and Seals The conditions of the above obligations are such that if the above bound Alfred D. Windborn and William Cowan & Shall personaly appear before the hoenable Judge of Superior Court of law to be held for the County of Bertie in Windsor on the third Monday of March next then and their to give Evidince in behalf of the State concerning the death of Nathan Harrell and do not depart the said court without leave then and their the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue this the 5th day of November 1847 Test Richd R Tayloe Alfred D.
