Bryan vs. JARNAGAN} Petn. to January Court 1756 To the Worshipfull the Justices of Bertie County in Court now Sitting. The Petition of Needham BRYAN Humbly Shewith That David JARNAGAN of the said County is Indebted to him the Sum of One Pound Eighteen Shillings and thre pence Virginia money by Acct. and Delays Payment Your Petitioner therefore Pray Judgment against the said David JARNAGAN for the said Sum with Cost &c. And he will pray &c. Needom BRYAN ELLIS vs. JARNAGAN} Petn. to January Court 1756 To the Worshipfull the Justices of Bertie County in Court now Sitting The Petition of Aaron ELLIS Humbly Shewith That David JARNAGAN is to him in the Sum of ____blank. By ____blank and Delays Payment. Your Petitioner there fore Pray Judgment against the said David JARNAGAN for the same with Cost &c. And he ? Pray &c. John NICHOLL Just? North Carolina Bertie County} I George the Second by the Grace of God King of Great Britain &. To the Sheriff of Bertie County Greeting We Command you to take the Body of David JARNAGAN Late of said County Inkeeper (if to be found in your Bailiwick) and safely keep him untill he shall Pay and satisfy Needham BRYAN of the sum of One Pound Eighteen Shillings and three pence, Virginia money, equal in vallue to Two Pounds and Tenpence Proclamation money which the said Needham BRYAN Lately in our County Court of Bertie aforsaid hath Recovered against him in a suit commenced by Petition against the said David JARNAGAN, as also the sum of Thirteen Shillings & Elevenpence of Proclamation money Besides your won Fee for the service hereof which hath been Taxed in our said Court for his Costs in the behalf Expended whereof he is convicted as to us of Record appears. And that you have the said several sums at our next Court to be holden for the said County at the Court House thereof on the fourth Tuesday in April next to Render to the said Needham BRYAN the above Judgment and Costs as Taxed.
