Coroner's Inquest
Elizabeth Jones was Beat so Severely " with a Large
Halter and a great Knott on One End" by her HUSBAND,
JOHN JONES on Friday, 25th February 1758, that she
died on Monday 27th February 1758

VERDICT: MURDER
Inquest held at the house of John Jones in BERTIE Co. on 28th February 1758.
