I George the Second by the Grace of God
        King of Great Britain


        To the Sheriff of Bertie County Greeting

        We Command you ____to take the Body of Solomon MANLEY late of Bertie County Planter (if to be found in your Bailiwick and him safely keep so that you have him before our Justices at our next Court to be holden for Bertie County at the court House there of on the Fourth Tuesday in July next then and there to answer unto us by our Attorney General a Certain Person? Payment? made by the Grand Inquest for the Body of Our said County for living in adultery with one Mary ELLIS.

Herein fail not And have there this Writ.
