STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA    COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS    BERTIE COUNTY
February Term, 1827

THOMAS MITCHELL et al, per Guardian
            vs.
WM. WATFORD, Adm'r & Others

Petition for Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that CADER 
MITCHELL, one of the Defendants is not an inhabitant of this State: It is 
therefore ordered that publication be made for six weeks in the Edenton 
Gazette that the said CADER MITCHELL appear at our next Court of Pleas & 
Quarter sessions to be held for said County at the Court House in Windsor on 
the 2nd Monday of May next to plead, answer or demur to said petition filed or 
judgment will be taken pro confesso against him.
