1805  26 January


Know all men by these presents that we Neadham BRYANT
Lewis BRYANT and Henry RAY all of Bertie County and State
of North Carolina are held and firmly bound unto the
Justices of said county the sum of two hundred  pounds to
be pade to the said Justices or there sucesers in offis
for the trew payment hereof we bind our selves our heirs
Extr., and administraters jointly and firmly by these
presents seled with our sels this 26 day of January 1805.


The conditions of the above obligation is such when as
Elizabeth PRITCHARD has letely been delivered of a
basterd child she charges Neadham BRYANT of being the
father of said child now if the above bouned Neadham
BRYANT or any of them their heirs Exetrs., administraters
don? well and trewly rase and mintain the said child so
as the overseers of the poor and inhabitance of the
County dos not come to any cost nor charges by reason of
the birth mintainence of abd bringing up the said child
then the above obligation to bee void or els to remain in
full fors and vartue  Signed seled and Delivered in
presents of
