State of N Carolina
Bertie County

The year of our Lord 1858 December 28th

We the jurors lawfully summons and sworn from
the evidence of Elizabeth Reames that Negro man
Solomon belonging to Rachel Ruffin came to his
death by the shot from a gun suppose to be in the
hand of W. A. Hunt.  Given under our hands and
seals this the day and date above riten.
