Inquest held in Bertie County on July 2, 1757

Accidental

Mildred Smithwick, age 5, was killed accidentally
through a stroke in her left breast from a scythe
swung by Annis LEGGETT- age 14 years old. They were
mowing oats in John SMITHWICK'S Field.
