All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: TJ Malone azlilowl@vtc.net October 15, 2005, 12:41 am Written: March 28, 1760 Bertie County North Carolina Deed Book K, Page 65 Dated: 28 March 1760 Registered: Barradail to Farmer North Carolina & To all People to whom these Presents shall come I Joseph Barradaill of Bertie County sends Greeting & Know ye That I the said Joseph Barradaill for and in Consideration of the sum of Seventeen Pounds Proclamation Money to me paid & secured to be paid by Joseph Farmer of the same County Planter have Bargained & Sold & by these Presents do fully freely Clearly & absolutely, give, Grant, Bargain, Sell Alien, Infe off (sp.?), Release, convey, assign & set over unto him the said Joseph Farmer his Heirs & assigns for ever, One Messuage or Parcel of Land situate lying & being in Bertie County aforesaid on the North side of Seguair Swamp. Begining at a Poplar in the said Swamp the Corner Free of Rassourys (sp.?) Patent so Runing up that Line to the Little Pocoson, up the side of the Pocoson to Road thence a West Course to the head Line of the said Barradaills new Survey to a long that Line to Rainbow Branch so down the Branch to a line of marked Trees thence along that Line to the Road so down the Road to a swamp so down the swamp to the first Station Containing by Estimation Two hundred acres of Land be the same more or less To have and to hold the said Land & all & Singular Rights, Priviledges, Commoditys, Hereditaments (sp.?), Appurtenan- ces & apendants thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Joseph Farmer his Heirs & assigns to the only one & behoof of him the said Joseph Farmer his Heirs & assigns for Ever in as full & ample manner to all Intents & purposes as the most Learned in the Law can Devise further I the said Joseph Barradaill for my self my Heirs Exors & Admors do Covenant & Engage & for ever defend the said Land & premisses with all the appurtenances to the same belonging in fee Simple absolutely free from all Incumberances Quit Rents only Excepted, unto him the said Farmer his heirs & assigns for ever For Witness where of I have here unto set my hand and fixed my Seal this 28th day of March 1760.
