Ruffin to Wm. B Spivey This Indenture made the fifth January 1822 Between Blount B. Ruffin of the State of N-Carolina and County of Bertie of the one part and William B. Spivey of the same State and County aforesaid Witnesseth that I the sd Blount B. Ruffin for and in consideration of the Sum of Eight Hundred Dollars to me in hand and paid by the sd William B. Spivey do by these presents Give Grant Bargain and Sell unto him the sd William B. Spivey His Heirs and Assigns forever One certain Tract Parcel or message of Land lying and being on the North Side Roquist Swamp Containing by estimation Two Hundred and Forty Acres be the same more or less Butted and Bounded as follows Bounded by the lines Nancy Garrett Jacob Garrett Nancy Clark Reubin Parker John Bazemore Ded for refferenc look for Division in Land of Jacob Garrett, Heirs It being Harry Lawrance Nancy King David Garrett Naomi Choate Sd Jacob Garrett, Land that fell to them in Division of Land from their father Jacob Garrett decd And I the sd Blount B.
