Know ye that I the said William Bly for & in Consideration of the Sum of Forty Shillings Sterling to me in hand Paid by John Perry of Bertie County yeoman the (Rect. Whereof I do hereby acknowledge) Have Bargained & Sold and by these Presents Doe fully freely Clearly & absolutely give grant Bargain Sell Allien, Enscosse, Release, Convey, Confirm Assign Transfer & Sell over unto him the sd. John Perry his heirs & assigns forever a Certain Dividend of Land Scituate Lying & being in Bertie County aforesd. upon the North East side of Quayokason Swamp. Containing by Estimation Two Hundred Acres be the Same more of Less. Butted & Bounded as followeth (to wit). Beginning at a Pine In the said John Perrey’s Line Running thence No. 30 E 66 pole to a Pine thence No. 50 W 192 pole to a pine thence So. 32 W 224 pole to a Live Oak in sd. Swamp thence up sd. Swamp various courses to the sd. Perrey’s Corner Thence on his Line No. 60 E to the first station being Part of a Patent granted to me the sd William Bly bearing Date the 10th day of March 1740. To Have & to Hold the sd. Land Bargained & Sold as aforesaid & all & Singular the Rights Priviledges Commodities Hereditaments appurtenances & appendants thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining in as full & ample manner to all Intents & Purposes as the most Learned in the Law can Devise in Fee Simple absolutely free from all Incumbrances & whatsoever (Quitrents Excepted) against the Lawfull claims of all other Persons whatsoever unto him the said John Perrey his heirs & assigns forever. In Witness whereof I the sd. William Bly have hereunto Sett my Hand & Seal the 23rd day of November Anno Dom. 1741. his William W Bly seal mark Seal’d &D’D in presence of Mikeall Ward his Ja.
