Know yee that I Needham BRYAN of Society Parish in the county of Bertie for and in consideration of the sum of seventeen pounds Tenn Shilling Virginia current money to me in hand paid before the ensealing and __________? hereof well and paid by Barnaby BRYANT the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and myself herewith fully satisfyed and content thereof and of every part and percell therof do exonerate and acquit and discharge the sd Barnaby BRYANT his heirs exe and adms forever for these presents have given, granted, bargained, sold, and delivered, and conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell and deliver, convey, and confirm unto him the sd Barnaby BRYAN his heirs and assigns forever one messuage or tract of land situating lying and being in Bertie county by estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less. Beginning on the N side of FLAGGY RUN at the mouth of a branch that runs out of the FLAGGY RUNN the dividing line between Wm VANN and the sd Barnaby BRYAN thence up the sd branch to the head to a marked Percimmon tree and thence along a line of marked trees to a pine inthe head line thence along the head line So 14 E to the head of the FLAGGY RUN thence down the courses of the sd RUN to the first station. To have and to hold the sd granted and bargained premises with all appurtenances, previledges, comoditys, to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to him the sd Barnaby BRYAN his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and I the sd Needham BRYAN for me my heirs exe's and adm's do covenant promise and grant to and with the sd Barnaby BRYAN his heirs and assgins that before the ensealing hereof I am the true sole and lawfull owner of the above bargained premises and am lawfully seized and possessed of the same in mine own proper right as a good perfect and absolute estate of Inheritance in free simple and have in my good right full power and lawfull authority to grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm the sd bargained premises in manner as above sd and that the sd Barnaby BRYAN his heirs and assigns shall and may fromtime to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virture of these presents lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the sd demised and bargained premsises with the appurces free and clear and freely and clearly acquitte exonerated, and discharged of and from all and all manner of former other gifts, grants, bargains, sales, leases, mortgages, wills, entails, joynters, dowers, judgemnts, executions, incumbrances, and extents - Furthermore I the sd Needham BRYAN for my self my heirs exe's and adm's do covenant and engage the above demised premises to him the sd Barnaby BRYAN his heirs and assigns against the lawfull claims or demands of any pwrson or persons whatsoever forevery hereafter towarrant secure and defend and Susanah BRYAN the wife of me the sd Needham BRYAN doth by these presents freely willingly give yield up an surrender all her right of dower and power of thirds of andin unto the above demised premises unto him the sd Barnaby BRYAN his heir and assigns.
