Deed from JAMES L. BRYAN to THOMAS EVANS, 

Book BB, Page 609, Bertie Co, NC, 1827
 
I, JAMES L. BRYAN, for and in consideration of the
sum of eighty dollars to me in hand paid by THOMAS
EVANS have given granted and released and by these
present do give grant bargain and release unto
THOMAS EVANS and his heirs all that tract of land
which I bought off the Sheriff of Bertie by deed
dated eighth day of January 1827.  References being
had thereto meted and bounded by the lands of SAMUEL
MYERS, RUEBEN WHITE-Jr?, WILLIAM BOSWELL, WILLIAM
WARD and others containing fifty acres more or less,
saving? and excepting out of this conveyance any
dower or right of dower which MARY RHODES widow of
EDWARD O. RHODES hath in said land.  To have and to
hold the same to the said THOMAS EVANS and his heirs
forever.  


In witness whereof I have sealed and delivered these
present this 30th day of January 1827.

This deed from JAMES L. BRYAN to THOMAS EVANS was
acknowledged in open court by said BRYAN.  Let it be
registered.
