His Excell'y John S. Carteret__?  Do hereby Give and
Grant unto William BRYAN a Tract of Land containing
Eighty Six Acres lying in Bertie Precinct lying on
the North Side of Morattock River and then North
side of BRIDGES Creek beginning at a oak one of
William BRYANS corner Trees running N 60 E57 pole to
the center of two red oaks and a white __? Timothy
CUNINGHAMS line then along his line S10 E112 pole to
a red oak one of CUNINGHAMS corner trees then S60
W123 pole to an ash on the NE side of BRIDGES Creek
then along the Creek 90? pole to a white oak to the
pocosan then N35 E20 pole to a red oak in William
BRYANTS line then N78 E56 pole along the said line
to a red oak the said BRYANS corner tree then along
his other line N15 to the first station which said
land was formerly granted by patent bearing date the
1st day of March 1719 to Henry WEST and by hem
elapsed for want of due seating? and planting
thereon and is now become due to the said William
BRYANT by virtue of an order of Councils dated Oct
18th 1722. To have and to hold  ?  ?  ? yearly ? ?
rent of one Shilling for every fifty acres hereby
granted ? provided ?  April 1, 1723.
