Deed Recorded February Term 1797

"State of North Carolina Bertie County------ Know all men by
these presents that I MICAJAH BUNCH of the state and county
aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of ninety
pound to me in hand paid by THOMAS HOLDER of the county and
state aforesaid do give grant bargain sell alien convey and
confirm to him the said THOMAS HOLDER his heirs and assigns
forever one certain tract or part of a tract of land
containing ninety acres be the same more or less buted and
bounded as followeth, Beginning a a Black Jack in the edge
of the Old Rode then near Northest corse towards Mulbry
Branch then the corse of said branch towards Mulbry Branch
then the corse of said branch thence a strate line to the
Old Rode where Mr. Hails line joinds thence down the Old
Rode to the first station --- To have and to hold the said
granted and bargained premises with all appertainces
priviledges and comodities to the same belonging or in any
way appertaining unto him the said THOMAS HOLDER his heirs
and assigns forever and farther I the said MICAJAH BUNCH do
covenant promise and agree to and with the said THOMAS
HOLDER his heirs and assigns forever that before the
ensealing and delivery hereof I am the true sole and lawfull
owner of the above granted and bargained premises and am
lawfully seized and possesed of the same in my own right and
absolute Estate of Inheritance fee simple and further I the
said MICAJAH BUNCH do bind myself my heirs executors
administrators firmly by these presence unto him the said
THOMAS HOLDER his heirs and assigns forever against the
lawfull claims or demands of any person or persons
whatsoever free and clear freely and clearly from all manner
of incumberances of what nature or kind soever, In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
nineth day of February one thousand seven hundred and ninty
