Between John Cook of the one part and John Perry of the other part of Bertie County in the Province of North Carolina. Witnesseth That the said John Cook for and in Consideration of the sum of Thirty Six Pounds Current money of North Carolina to me in hand by the said John Perry at or upon the Ensealing & delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge ourselves fully & Intirely Satisfied & contented, Hath bargained, Sold, assign’d & set over, and by these presents do absolutely bargain Sell assign & set over unto the said John Perry his heirs & assigns forever a Certain Tract of Land Situate in Bertie County lying on the south side of Salmon Creek, joining George Ryans, Hezekiah Mahun & Jesse Cook as was Containing fifty acres more or less. Together with all & all manner of Profitts & appurtenances thereunto belonging appertains. To have and to hold the said Demised Land & Premises with the appurtenances unto the said John Perry his heirs & assigns forever, and furthermore we the said John Cook our selves our heirs Excrs: Admrs: & every of us do Covenant Warrent and Ingage the said Demised Land & Premises unto him the said John Perry him his heirs Exors & admors or assigns forever free & Clear from the Claim of any person whatsoever & all manner of Rights or Incumbrances whatsoever, to his & their own propertys & to be his forever.
