Know all men by these presants that I Lemuel Keeter do for and in
consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars to me in hand paid the
receipts whereof I the said Lemuel Keeter do acknowledge my self
therewith fully satisfyd contented and paid hath given granted
bargaind & sold maidover forever to John Johnson of the County &
State aforesaid a certain parcel or Track of land being and lying in
the County & State aforesaid containing by estimation Forty eight
Acres be the same more or less incluidng the pice that Elisha
Bizzell bought of Benjamin & Francis Bowen that I bought of the said
Bissell binding as follows viz—Beginning at a corner Tree a red Oak
on Bear Swamp Road joining Hoggards line from thence runing a line
of marked Trees with the Heirs of William Baker Dest to the Run of
the Swamp so down the run of Bear Swamp to Whitmell Bakers Dest line
from thence Runing with Whitmell Bakers Dest line to a Red oak on
Bear Swamp Road Hoggards line so with Hoggards line to the first
Station. To the said John Johnson to him his Heirs and assighns
forever to have and to hold the said premises with All the singler
Rites pertaining to the said land belonging or in anywise
appertaining to the said Johnson to him or assigns forever and I the
said Lemuel Keeter do bind myself my Heirs and assigns over to
warrnt and defend the lawful title of the above land and premises to
the said John Johnson to him or his Heirs or assigns forever. In
witness of the same I have fixed my hand and seal February 20th 1837.
