All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Joyce Tuckerman tuck@tc3net.com January 8, 2007, 10:17 pm Written: November 15, 1797 Know all men by these presents that I Joshua Demsey of the county and state aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty Silver Dollars to me In hand paid by John McGlauhon the receipt where of I do acknowledge and myself there with fully satisfied and contented and there of and every part and parcel there of do Exonerate acquit and discharge the said John McGlauhon his heirs and assigns forever do give Grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm and by these presents have given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed unto him the said John McGlauhon his heirs and assigns forever Two tracts or messuages of land lying on the south side of Salmon Creek the first tract containing fifty acres be the same more or less. Beginning at a white oak on the Creek Bank William Waters corner tree thence along his line S12 E 140 pole to an oak at the run of Waters Branch thence down the said branch N 35 E 134 to Salmon Creek thence up the said creek the various courses to the first station. The second Tract lying on the south side of Waters branch containing Forty-one acres be the same more or less Beginning at a white oak near the run of Waters branch thence East by a line of marked trees that parts said land from George Ryans land down to Salmon Creek thence up the said Creek to the mouth of Waters branch thence up the said branch to the first station to have and to Hold the above bargained premises with all the appurtenances there unto belonging or in any ways appertaining unto him the said John McGlauhon his heirs or assigns forever and that I the said Joshua Demsey for myself my heirs Executors adminesr & assigns will warrant and defend the alin bargained premises unto him the said John McGlauhon his heirs and assigns forever against the lawfull claim or claims of any person or persons whsoever. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 15th day of Nov. 1797.
