Know all men by these presents that I, Abraham DEW of County of Edgecombe North Carolina for and in consideration of Twenty Barrells of Good Mercantile full bound Tarr, by John Hobbs, I acknowledge myself fully satisfied have bargained sold alienated and set over and do by these presents for me and my heirs forever bargain, sell and deliver enfeoff, transfer and confirm unto the said John Hobbs, his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or Divident of land containing two hundred Acres, it being PART of a Patent granted to me on the North side of Meherrin River at Gardner's Path at the Head of Horse Pasture Creek, adjoining John Rogers.
