Know all men that I, Ann Durgan, in consideration of the love and effection I bear to my nephew, William Moore, together with the sum of five shilling to me paid, do hereby give and sell him the mority of the Negro man slave named Virginia, saving and reserving to myself the sd mority of sd Negro slave during my natural life of which I am pofsefsed .  To have and to hold the mority of said negroman Virginia to said William Moore, his heirs and afsigns forever and I will warrant and defend the mority of said Negro man Virginia to sd William Moore, his heirs and afsigns forever against every claim.

In witness whereof I have placed my hand and seal this the 8th day of November 1802.  Acknowledged before John Sowell & Elizabeth Roberson.
