Know you that I Bridget Folkes of Edgecomb County yeoman for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds currency to me in hand paid by John Perry of the Count yof Bertie the receipt of which I do hereby acknowledge it & have bargained & sold and do by these presents fully clearly and absolutely give grant bargain and sell alien enscoss release convey confirm assign and set over unto him the sd. John Perry his heirs and assigns forever one hundred & fifty acres of land be the same more or less. Beginning on the wwest side of BarbaQue Swamp at a Maple and running along John Raners line to the center of three pines & so down a line of Thomas Jones to a pine so running an East course line of John Perry & the Swamp so up the sd. swamp by Raners line to first station. To have & to hold the sd. Plantation or parcell of Land and in all singular Rights and priviledges commodities Hereditaments appendents thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining for ever to his & their only benefit and behoof for ever in as full and ample manner to all intents & purposes as the most learned in the Law can devise in fee simple absolutely free from all incumbrances whatsoever Quit rents hereafter growing due only excepted not only myself my heirs executors and administrators and assigns but also against lawfull claims or demands of all or any person or persons whatsoever. I hereby promise to warrant and secure maintain & defend the said Plantation and Premises unto him the sd. John Perry his heirs and assigns forever.
