Bertie COUNTY Gewin, Christopher to Hodges, Robt-1733 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Cathy Farris cfassir@netdex.com D28 Christopher GEWIN to Robt HODGES Bertie Co To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye that I Christopher GEWIN JR of Bertie Prcinct in the Province of North Carrolina for divers good causes and consideration to me thereunto moving more especially for the vallueable consieration of the sum of thirty two pound current mony of Virginia or the vallue to me in hand already paid by Robert HODGES of the Province an precinct aforesiad the recipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge my self thereof and therewith fully satisfyed contented and paid and of every part and percell thereof do acquit exonerate and discharge him the said Robert HODGES his heirs Exe Adm and asigns forever. Have given granted bargained sold aliend conveyed and confirmed andand by these presents do self alien convey and confirm unto him the said Robert HODGES his heirs Exe Adm and assings forever One mesuage tract of land and plantation scituate lying and being on the north side of Marratock River within Runarou Marsh and bounded as followith. Beginning at red oak on Flaggy Run Thence running along the said line to a gum Thence to a marked hickory corner tree then down a line of mark trees to a hickory corner tree in a marsh. Then to a white oak Henry RODES corner tree then down Henry ROADES line to a red oak then up FLAGGY RUN to the first station and containing one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less, Together with all houses orchards nurceries fences timber and trees woods and underwoods water and water courses and all priviledges watsoever. Thereon or the ? belonging or appertaining any wasys thereunto. To have and to hold all and singular the aforesaid demised primises and every part and parcell in all ? and suposes unto him the said ROBERT HODGES from henceforth and forever more in a full and ? manner-Lands is holden in this Gov:Wattanting the same to be free and clear from and of all manner of rents whatsoever and other incumbrances and the said Christopher GEWIN doth warrant the said land and premises above mentioned as aforesaid from him and his heirs Exe and Adm unto him the said Robert HODGES his heirs Exe and Adm ? or assigns and tht the said HODGES his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times Peaceably and quickly occupy and posess and enjoy all and singular the land and primises above mentioned and the appurtenances therof according to the most ancient and reputed? bounds thereof and all and every ? issues profits and commodities, The roof and of every part ad percell thereof. Have and take without any manner of lett? suite trouble ?. Evacuation? disturbance or mollestation whatsoever of him the said Christopher GEWIN his heirs or any other person of persons whatsoever having any lawfull clain ? or demand in or ? of the said premisese or any ? or percell of the same and I the said Christopher GEWIN doth warrant the said messuage and Plantation unto the said Robert HODGES his heirs EXe Adm assigns against any lawfull suite or demand whatsoever.
