General of our Revenues in this Our said Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have Given, Granted and Confirmed and by these presents for us, our heirs and successors Give, Grant and Confirm unto William Gray Junr of the County of Surry one certain tract or parcel of land containing three hundred & sixty acres lying and being on the South Side of Nottoway River in the County of Isle of Wight and bounded as followeth To Wit: beginning at a White Oak on the South Side of the Three Creeks; thence, South Twenty-nine Degrees West, One hundred & thirty poles to a Pine; thence, South Sixty Degrees East Sixty poles to a Red Oak; thence, South Forty Degrees East Seventy eight poles to a Red Oak; thence North East Two hundred and eleven poles to a Red Oak; thence, North Eighteen Degrees West fourty two poles to a Gum by the Three Creeks Side; thence with the run of the three Creeks twenty six poles to another marked Gum; thence South Seventy two Degrees West One hundred fifty four poles to a White Oak; thence North Forty Eight Degrees West Sixty pole to a White Wood Tree by the Edge of the three Creeks and up the run of the three Creeks to the first station; with all; To have, hold and to be held and Yielding and Paying and Provided of In Witness vs Witness our Deputy and Well Beloved Alexander Spotswood our Lieutenant Governor at Williamsburgh under the Seal of our said Colony the sixteenth Day of June one thousand seven hundred & fourteen in the Thirteenth year of our Reign.
