I had not picked up on that until I saw those tax lists from Colleen. Also, Milly Howard was a witness for the will of John Jenkins, dated 1779. Perhaps she was a daughter of Keziah Jenkins Howard. NOTES: Keziah was the daughter of John Jenkins of Nansemond and his wife, Anne. She is a brother to James Jenkins, my ancestor. Keziah Jenkins Howard Now for my Keziah Jenkins theory. I think Keziah, daughter of John and Anne, married Samuel Howard. In the tax records that Colleen sent I noted that Samuel Howard first appears in 1756, 1757, 1761. He is also there in 1762. However, in 1763 Keziah Howard is listed with her son James Howard and Lues Jenkins, Jr. - 2 polls. She is also listed in 1764. When I checked David Gammon's Estate Records, I found Keziah Howard was appt. admistrx for Samuel Howard on May 27, 1763, and the witnesses were Lewis and Cader Jenkins. (her brothers) This data I received from Peggy Chapman.
