File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Lorene Rambo hocott@aol.com ========================= Mary Howcott to Beacham Witnessed by Edward Howcott Deeds of Bertie County, North Carolina, Book G, p. 434 This Indenture made this Thirtyith day of July Anno Domino one thousand seven hundred and fifty one Between Mary Howcott of Bertie County In the Province of North Carolina of the one part and William Beacham of the County and Province aforesaid on the other part Witnesseth that I Mary Howcott for and in considration of the Sum of thirty Pounds Current money Bills of Credit of North Carolina to her in hand paid and delivered to be paid by the said William Beacham the Receipt whereof the said Mary Howcott doth hereby acknolege acquit exonerate and discharge the said William Beacham his heirs and assigns forever Have Given Granted bargined and sold and by these Presents doth fully clearly and absolutely Give Grant Bargin Sell and Allien a certain peace of Land lying and being in Bertie County it being part of a Patent being granted to Willian Downing for the quantity of five hundred and forty Acres the aforesaid Land being butted and bounded and followeth Viz. Begining on Edward Howcotts line on the Firey Bents Branch so up said Firey Bank Branch its various courses to James Hintons line so along James Hintons Line to Mount Pleasant Path so along this Path and a line of marked Trees to a Pine along a line of marked Trees to the said Edward Howcotts line so along the said Edward Howcotts Line to the first Station One Hundred acres be the same more or less To have and to hold the same bargined and sold as aforesaid unto the said William Beacham his Heirs assigns for and with all the Right members and appurtenances forever with all Grounds Woodland Grounds Water courses and all other liberties and priveledges therein and thereto containing and that the said Mary Howcott for herself, her Heirs, executors, and administrators Do promise and warrant that the ensealing and delivery hereof She have a good and full _________ to Sell ;the same unto said William Beacham his heirs and assigns forever and these presents do Warrant the said Land and Premises from demand of the said Mary Howcott her Heirs executors and administrators or any other Person claiming from and or her or her heirs, executors, or administrators but that the said Land and Premises now and shall forever hereafter remain continued and Be unto said William Beacham, his assigns forever acquited . . .
