Know ye that I Edward Hocutt of Bertie Precinct for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds Current money of said province to me in hand paid by Benjamin Hooker of said County Planter with which I acknowledge myself contented . . . fully freely Clearly and absolutely Give grant bargain Sell allien Enforsse Release Convey Confirm Assign Transsfer and Set over unto him the said Benjamin Hooker his heirs and assigns forever a Certain Dividend or parcell of Land Situate lying and being in Bertie County on a Branch of Mount Pleasant Mill Creek Containing by Estimation Fifty Acres be the same more or less Butted and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at William Hooker's line thence a line of marked trees to a pine Corner of Benitts Thence a line of marked Trees to a Oak on a large Branch of Sandy Run Thence the said Branch to the said Sandy Run from thence up the Sandy Run its various courses to the first station. To have and to hold the said Land Bargained and Sold as aforesaid and all and Singular the Rights priviledges Comodities, hereditants, appurtenances and appendants thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Benjamin Hooker his heirs and assigns forever in Fee Simple absolutely in as full and ample manner to all intents and purposses as the most Learned in the Law can Devise warrant and Defend the said Land free from all Encumberances whatsoever Except accruing Justrents.
