Know Ye that I Mary Howcott Relict of John Howcott and Heir at Law to William Downing Junior late of Boston in New England for and in consideration of one hundred Pounds to me in Hand paid by John Wynns of Bertie County--Yeoman. Have Bargained and Sold and by these Presents do fully freely and absolutely Give, Grant, Bargain, Sell, Allien, Enfrosse, Release, Convey, and Confirm, unto him the said John Wynns his Heirs and assigns for Ever That half Tract of Light wood land which Capt. William Downing late of Bertie sold to His Son William aforesaid containing more or less four hundred fifty Acres also the white Oak joyning that same said John Wynns Lands which He bought of the said Downing the Elder and lys on Wiccacon containing by estimation three hundred acres both which parcels are in the County of Bertie aforesaid. To have and to hold the aforesaid Two Dividends of Land sold as aforesaid and all and singular the Rights and Priviledges, commoditys, Hereditaments appurtanances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto Him the said John Wynns his Heirs and assigns for Ever in fee Simple absolutely in as full and ample manner to all Intents and Purposes as the most Learned in the Law can Devise against myself my Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns forever. In Witness whereof I the said Mary Howcott have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the 18th day of Sep. anno dom. 1749.
