Land deed- John Lee to William Johnston North Carolina To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come I, john lee of the said Precinct, Planter, send greeting in our Lord everlasting. Know Ye that I, the Said John Lee for and inconsideration of the sum of twelve Pounds Current money of North Carolina, to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself there with fully satisfied and contented and of every part and parcel thereof, I do exonerate, acquit and discharge the said William Johnston, his heirs and assigns forever by these presents have bargained, sold, alienated, released and confirmed unto the said William Johnston his heirs executors, administrators and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of Land Situate lying and being on the North side of Conohoe Creek being part of John Lee's Patent bearing date the 28th Day of September 1730 and bounded as Followeth, Viz. Beginning at a Pine Corner, then running S. 40 W. 480 poles to a Spanish Oak, thence down the patent line to the line between William Johnston and Joseph Moor, then out the same courses of the patent till it comes to the patent line then up the patent to the first Station, containing Two Hundred Acres more or less. To have and to hold the above said premises with all appurtenances and privileges to the said William Johnston, heirs executors and assigns to his and their proper use and behalf together with all the rights titles and privilege and assertaining unto the same belonging or in any wise assertaining and the same and I the said John Lee, my heirs, executors and admrs and assigns do Covenant promise and agree to the said William Johnston his heirs, Exrs., Admrs., and assigns shall and may peaceably have hold, occupy and enjoy the said tract and parcel of land and all the privileges and commodities forever unto the same belonging or assertaining without the law suit, trouble or molestation of or fro me, the said John Lee, my heirs Exrs. or assigns or from any person or persons claiming by me or under me or them or any or other than them, And i the said john Lee do for myself, my heirs, Exrs. admrs. or assigns further covenant promise and agree to and with the said William Johnston his heirs. Exrs., Admrs., and assigns shall and will at all times hereafter at the special instances and request of him the said William Johnston, his heirs , Exrs., admrs., or assigns the said part or parcel of land forever warrant and defend against all person or persons claiming any right title or interest there unto any part thereof except the Kings quit rents and will and will at any time or times here after do such lawful acts, thing or things for confirming and making sure the said parcel of land to the said William Johnston his heirs, Exrs., Admrs and assigns as shall be thought devisable and necessary.
