NC Cathy 1786 Randolph County NC Land Grant for Edmund MARSH No. 306 page 32 Cathy Hart Farris Verbatim Transcription Jan. 2003 State of North Carolina To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting - Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shilling for every hundred acres paid into our Treasury by Edmond MARSH have given And granted by these presents do give and grant unto the said Edmond MARSH a tract of land containing Three hundred and fifty acres lying and being in the county of Randolph - On both sides Fork Creek Beginning at a pine and running South Crossing said Creek and Reedy Creek seventy five? to a pine by the road then ? forty six ? and sixty six links crossing to me branches to a Black Oak then North Seventy five to a stake crossing fork Creek then west to the Beginning ? by the plat hereunto ? doth appear Together with all woods ? under woods, mines, minerals, houses, laments? and appurtenances to the said Land Belonging or appertaining to hold to the said Edmond MARSH his heirs and assigns forever - Yielding and paying to us just sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct provided always that the said Edmond MARSH shall cause this Grant to be Registered in the Registers office of our said county of Randolph, Within Twelve month from the date hereof ?the same shall be void and of no effect.
