Know all men by these presents that I,
Elinor Meriet do constitute and appoint my trusty
friend William Mixon, my true and Lawfull Attorney
to acknowledge in Open Court the Within mentioned,
One Hundred and Thirty Acres of Land for the said
William Melton to Acknowledge all my right Title &
interest of the said Land on my behalf unto James
Peeke, his heirs & assigns forever and do by these
presents Impower the said William Mixon with my full
Power and strength to acknowledge and record the
same as if I were there present, as witness my hand
and seal this Sixteenth Day of April 1719
