Oxley, Martin White, Starkey Mezell & Wm White __?__ or any three of them divide the lands of Aaron Mezells into four shares according to the prayers of the petitioner and that they make return to our next County Court. State of North Carolina } January 1845 Bertie County } In obedient to the innixt order we the undersigned Commissioners having met & being duly sworn by the Magistrate proceeded with the assistance of Jona. I? Rhodes Surveyor to allot of the Heirs of Aaron Meazlis decd. their portion of said Meazlis lands. No. 1, con. 50 acres (as represented in the annexed plot) valued at fifty dollars, lotted to William Meazles, he paying over six dollars and twenty five cents to No 3. No. 2, con. 50 acres valued at fifty Dollars, lotted to William Wilson & wife, they paying over to No. 3 six dollars & twenty five cents ~~ No. 4, containing 50 acres valued at fifty Dollars lotted to George W. Barnacastle & wife, they paying over to No. 3 six dollars & twenty five cents. And No. 3, con. 50 acres valued at twenty five Dollars lotted to James Wilson & Wife they securing from Numbers 1, 2, 4, eighteen dollars & seventy five cents making their lot No. 3 equal to No's 1, 2, 4. Rhodes containing 200 acres More or less and by him divided between the said Mezells Heirs. No. 1 contains 50 Acres, Beginning at a gum in the rim? of Ready Branch and running up said branch fifty five poles to a red? oak, Oxley's Corner. Then along his line S 88 E 140 poles to a pine in Reddetts line. Thence along his line S 45 West 109 poles to a maple in said line thence N 67 W to the first station. No. 2 contains 50 Acres, Beginning at a maple in Reddetts line then N 67 W to a gum in the Ready Branch then down the said branch 40 poles to a pine thence S 13 E to an oak in the rim of Cypress Branch thence N 45° E 142 poles ?? Reddett's line to the first station. No. 3 contains 50 Acres, Beginning at an ash Reddetts corner in Cypress branch and running down the various ?course? of said branch to a gum in the mouth of Ready branch, Oxley's Corner thence up said branch to a pine thence S 13 E to the first Station. No. 4 contains 50 Acres, Beginning at a water oak in the mouth of William's Branch, George Outlaw's Corner, thence up the said Branch one hundred and twenty six poles to the twin gums said Outlaws and Stevens Gray's Corner, then along said Gray's line West Eighty five poles to Thurston's Corner, then along his line to the rim of Cypress Branch then down said branch to the first Station.
