Daniel Murphree Chronology:


13 Aug 1747, Bertie Co., NC, Nathan Rowland of Edgecombe
Co., NC conveys to Daniel Murphrey of Bertie Co., NC,
inconsideration of 30 pounds Virginia money, 390 acres
lying on the northeast side of Cashy Swamp.  Deed Book G,
page 96.  This is the same 390 acres conveyed 11 Nov 1728
from Thomas Rhodes and wife Mary to Nathaniel Rowland of
Chowan Precinct.  Deed Book C, page 62.


16 Nov 1747, Bertie Co., NC, Daniel Murphrey of Bertie
Co., NC, conveys to Richard Harrell of Nansemond Co., VA
in consideration of 30 pounds Virginia money the 390
acres mentioned above.  Deed Book G, page 98.


17 Oct 1750, Bertie Co., NC, Nathaniel Williams of Bertie
Co. conveys to Daniel Murphree of Bertie Co. in
consideration of 22 pounds cash, 100 acres lying on the
east side of Conoritsrat (sic) Swamp.  Deed Book G, page
433.


26 Apr 1756, Bertie Co., NC, Grant to Daniel Murfrey a
Tract...being the land his improvements are on and the
land he formerly entered with Edward Moseley, Esquire and
Robert Walton, Esquire and surveyed by Miles Yate.


1757 Tax List, Bertie Co., NC, Abraham Wimberly, 1; Jno.
Barns, Jun., 1; Jno. Barns, Sen., 2; Daniel Murphree, 1;
Barns, Sr., and Murphree appeared on the list with only
one name between (The North Carolinian, Volume, IV, 1958,
page 493)


20 Apr 1758, Bertie Co., NC, Daniel Murphrey granted 620
acres in Bertie Co. on both sides Conaritset Swamp
beginning at a pine on a pocoson Thomas Pearce's corner
running thence on his line So. 290 poles to a pine in
Green's Pocoson then N65 East 375 poles to a white oak
near Howard's line thence No. 10 W 50 poles to a pine
John Jenkin's corner then on his line No. 70 East 160
poles to a red oak then No. 35 East. 60 poles to a white
oak thence a straight course through Conaritset Pocoson
to the first station, Land Grant Book No. 11, pages 37-
38, File No. 754.


17 Jan 1759, Bertie Co., NC, Daniel Murphree of Bertie
Co. conveys to Robert Roads of Bertie Co. in
consideration of 15 pounds Proclamation money, 470 acres.

25 Aug 1762, Bertie Co., NC, William Blye of Bertie Co.
conveys to Daniel Murphree of Bertie Co. in consideration
of Ten Pounds proclamation money, 220 acres lying on the
east side of Conaritsrat (sic) Swamp, part of 640 acres
granted by patent to Stephen Howard, 1 Feb 1725.  Deed
Book K, page 199.

15 May 1765, Bertie Co., NC, Daniel Murphree of Orange
Co., NC, conveys to James Jenkins of Bertie Co., NC, in
consideration of 43 pounds Virginia money, 220 acres
lying on Conneritsrat (sic) Swamp.  Deed Book K, page
477.


16 May 1765, Bertie Co., NC, Daniel Murphree of Orange
Co., NC conveys to Lewis Jenkins of Bertie Co. in
consideration of Twenty Pounds Currency, 125 acres lying
on the east side of Conneritset (sic) Swamp.  Deed Book
K, page 474.
