1785     Land Grant to Edward OUTLAW  No.47
This grant is of interest to me for the land
description and the mention of William BRYANT's line



I am entering the names and land description and
skipping the legal language. Spelling is as is.


To all to who these presents shall come Greating
know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum
of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby
granted ? to our Treasury by Edward OUTLAW have give
and granted and by us presents do give and grant to
Edward OUTLAW a tract of Land containing four
hundred and eighty acres lying and being in our
county of Bertie  Beginning at William BRYANTS
Corner thence along his line North 45 degrees East
one hundred and sixty four poles to another of
BRYANTS Corner thence along said BRYANTS line South
forty three degrees East one hundred and thirty five
poles clifts glade? thence north ninety? degrees
East two hundred and twenty eight poles to Samuel
RAYNERS line thence north sixty two degrees West
three hundred and twenty poles to a pine Nalonetel?
HOLLEYS corner thence south twenty five degrees East
one hundred and  sixty poles to James OUTLAWS corner
thence south fifty five degrees west two hundred and
seventy pole to another of James OUTLAW corner on
the great pocosen thence to the first station South
fifty eight East one hundred and thirty three poles
as by the plat hereunto annexed. ? appear together
with all woods waters minerals hereditaments
