BERTIE COUNTY Deed Abraham Perry to Solomon Stone-1785 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Zane Perry ZaneDPerry@hotmail.com Bertie County, North Carolina November 3, 1785 Deed Book N page 45 - 46 Abraham Perry to Solomon Stone ZDP#usncbrd00013 This indenture made the third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five Between Abraham Perry of Bertie County in the State of North Carolina of the one part and Solomon Stone of the County and State aforesaid Planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Abraham Perry, for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty pounds to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge & himself therewith fully Satisfied & paid, hath given, granted, bargained, sold, and conveyed and confirmed & by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey, and confirm unto the said Solomon Stone his Heirs and assigns forever, one certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying, and being in Bertie County aforesaid, containing Two hundred and twenty acres, being part of a greater tract of Land granted by pattent to David Henderson and bearing date the first day of April 1720, and by several transferrances has become the absolute of the said Abraham Perry as by his Deed bearing date the 4th of March 1778 will more fully appear. And also all Lands, Houses, Trees, woods, underwoods, waters, water courses, commodities and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Solomon Stone his Heirs and assigns forever, & all the right, Title, Interest, claim and demand of him the said Abraham Perry, in and to the said land and every part thereof. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of Land and all and singular other the premises above mentioned, with the appurtenances unto him the said Solomon Stone his Heirs and assigns forever, and the said Abraham Perry for himself, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators, & assigns the said tract and parcel of Land & every part & parcel thereof free & clear of and from all incumberances whatsoever, Quitrents only excepted against him and his Heirs and against all & every other person & persons whatsoever unto the said Solomon Stone, his Heirs, & shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness whereof the said Abraham Perry hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
