Abraham Perry to Ascenath Perry Robinson

To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come Greeting. Know ye 
that I Abraham Perry of Martin County and State of North Carolina Planter for 
and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds Current money to me in 
hand paid the receipt whereof  I hereby acknowledge and myself therewith 
fully satisfied Contented and paid, have Given Granted and by these presents 
do freely full and absolutely give Grant Bargain Sell alien Convey and 
Confirm unto Asenath Perry Robinson her heirs and assigns forever, one 
Certain Tract or parcell of land Containing by Estimation two hundred and 
seventeen acres more or less, Lying and being in Bertie aforesaid on the west 
side of the Eastermoste Branch of Salmon Creek, Beginning at a Gum in said 
Branch thence running west 360 poles to a pine Instead of three live Oaks 
mentioned in a former Deed thence north 100 poles to the Center of three 
pines a Corner of __ William Stones thence running East 194 pole along Stones 
line to a live Oake a Corner thence running North still along Stones line to 
the said Eastermoste Branch of Salmon Creek thence down said Branch to the 
first Station which said Land is known the name of Mewborns old field. To 
have and to hold the said two hundred and Seventeen Acres of Land with all 
appertenances privilidges and Commodities to the Same belonging or in any 
wise appertaining to the said Asenath Perry Robinson her heirs and assigns 
forever and further I the said Abraham Perry do Covenant promise Grant and 
agree to and with the said Assnath Perry Robinson her heirs and assigns 
forever that before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof I am the true sole and 
Lawfull Owner of said Land and have in myself Good Right full power and 
Lawfull Authority to Bargain and Sell the Same in manner as above said in fee 
Simple and further I the said Abraham Perry do Bind myself my heirs Executors 
and administrators to warrant and ever Defend the Said Lands unto her the 
said Assenath Perry Robinson her heirs and assigns forever against the 
Lawfull Claims or Demands of any Person or persons whatsoever free and Clear 
from all Incumbrances of what Kind or nature soever Quite Rents only 
excepted. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal 
this 18th day of May 1787.  }

The above Deed from Abraham Perry to Ascenath Perry Robinson was proved in 
due form of law by the oath of Robert Hendry one of the Subscribing Witnesses
