Do the appear together with all woods water mines minerals here itaments & appertenacnes to the said lands belonging or appertaining one half of all gold & silver mines excepted to holds to him this sd John PRATT: his heirs & assigns forever as of our Manner of East Green Wick in our County of Kent in free & Common Sockage? by -eally only yeilding & paying to our our heirs & succesors forever the yearly rent of four Shilling proclaimation money for every hundred acres hereby granted to be paid to us our heirs & successors on the second Day of February in each year at such places in our sd province as our Governour for the time being with the province and consent of our council shall think fitt to direct & appoint provided always that incase the sd John PRATT his heirs & assigns shall not within the space of three years after the date hereof clear & ------ according to the proportions of three acres for every hundred & also that if a minute or Dockett of these our letters patents shall not be entred in these five months after the date hereof that then & in either of these sd cases these our letters patent shall be void & of none effect: In testimony whereof we have caused the great seal of our said province to be hereunto affixed witness our trusty & welbeloved Gabried JOHNSTON, Esq our Captain General & Governour in chief at Newbern this 28th Day of Nov in this the thirteenth year of our reign anno donimi one thousand seven hundred & thirty nine. Gab JOHNSTON GOR Entered and enrolled in the auditor generalls office this 20th day of Nov 1739. ========== F271 John PRATT to William BRYAN 1740 Bertie Co NC Know all men by these presents that I John PRATT of the county and province aforesaid Have for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds current money of this province bargained, sold, conveyed and asigned to William BRYAN three hundred acres of land for __?the within is the patent Together with all improvements thereon to him the said William BRYAN his heirs and assigns forever and the sd PRATT doth convenant to with the said BRYAN that the aforesaid land is clear from all former or other sales or bargains whatsoever by him made in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 19th day of May Anno Domini 1740.
