David Rice to Edward Rice

This indenture made this the 28th day of December 1860 Between David Rice
of the one part and Edward Rice Son of David Rice of the other part Both
of the county of Bertie and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the Said
David Rice for an inconsideration of the natural love and affection which he
has unto the Said Edward Rice hath given granted aliened relissed and
confirmed and by these presants doth give unto the Said Edward Rice his heirs
and assigns all of the Tract of land that I now posses situated in the county
and State afforsaid Bounded as follows to (viz) Beginning at a sweetgum on
the Road at a ditch thence running a strate line to the Beverdam thence up
guishall Swamp to Dead pine branch thence up said Branch to the Road
thence along Elisha Hoggard line to Starkey Cowand line thence along Starkey
Cowand line thence along Starkey Cowand line to Jos J Cowand line thence
along Said Cowand line to the Road thence along the Road to the first station
containing by Estimation one hundred and Twenty-five acres more or less
to have and to hold the above named land and appertainance thereunto to
him the Said Edward Rice his heirs and assigns forEver and I the Said David
Rice do warrant and for Ever defend the rite and title to him the Said
Edward Rice against claims of any and all persons in testimony where of I
have hereunto Set my hand and seal this day and date before writen

This Deed from David Rice to Edward
