*James Rice Deed to Robert R. Tayloe

This Indenture made the 15th day of July in the year of our Lord
1845 between James Rice of the of the first part and Robert
R. Tayloe of the Second part all of the county of Bertie & the State
of North Carolina _ Witnesseth that the Said James Rice for and in
consideration of the Sum of one hundred dollars hath bargained and
by thease presants dooth grant bargain Sell and deliver to the Said 
Robert R. Tayloe his heirs and assigns for eaver a certain track or
peace of land to viz _ Begnning at a short strawed pine in Guieshall
Swamp Halsey Cowan_ line thence a Strate line East course to
Cristian Myres line thence along Said Myres line to Redbud Swamp
thence down Said Swamp to Guishall Swamp thence up Said Swamp
to the first station containing by estimation twenty acres be it the Same
more or less To have and to hold the Said premises and I do hereby
warrant and forever defend the right and title of the Same to him the
Said Robert R. Tayloe his heirs and assigns forever in witness 
whereof I have hereonto set my hand and Seal the day and year above
written
