James to brother, Thomas $50 Negor woman Tink & 2 children, Alston & Solomon 
Mar 14, 1818

Know all men by these presents that I James Ruffin of the county of Jones and
State of Georgia of the one part and Thomas Ruffin of the county of Bertie and
State of North Carolina of the other part witnesseth tha the same James Ruffin
for and in consideration of the sum of $50 to him in hand paid by the said
Thomas Ruffin, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargatined & sold
unto the said Thomas Ruffin his heirs and assings forever all my right, title
and interest in the following Negros to (wit) Negro woman Tink and two children
Alston & Solomon to have and to hold the aforesaid negroes unto him the said
Thomas Ruffin his heirs executors adm, and assings .  In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand & seal this fourteenth day of March in the year of our Lord
one thosand eight Hundred & Eighteen.
