Solomon Stone & Family to Asenath Perry Robinson


To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come. Greeting. Know ye 
that We, Solomon Stone, Priscilla Stone, William Stone, Sarah Stone and Anne 
Perry, all of Bertie County and State of No. Carolina, for and in 
consideration of the Sum of one hundred Pounds Current money to me in hand 
paid before the ensealing and Delivery Hereof by Asenath Perry Robinson of 
the County and State aforesaid, have given, granted, and by these presents, 
do freely, fully, and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey, 
and confirm unto her, the said Asenath Perry Robinson, her heirs and assigns 
forever, one Certain tract or parcel of Land containing by Estimation Two 
Hundred and Seventeen acres, more or less, Lying and being in Bertie 
aforesaid on the west side of Eastmost Swamp ~
Beginning at a Gum in the Branch, thence running West 360 pole to a pine, 
thence No. 100 pole to the Center of 3 pines a corner of Wm Stones, thence 
running East 194 Pole a Stones Line to a Live Oak a Corner Tree, then 
running No. still along Stones line to the Eastmost Swamp, thence down the 
said Branch of Eastmost Swamp to the said first Station. To have and to hold 
the said Two Hundred and Seventeen Acres of land with all appertenances, 
Priviledges and Commodities to the same Belonging or in any wise 
appertaining to her the said Asenath Perry Robinson, her heirs assigns 
forever, and further Wee, the said Solomon Stone, Priscilla Stone, William 
Stone, Sarah Stone, and Anne Perry do bind ourselves, our heirs, Executors, 
Administrators, and assigns to warrant and defend the said bargained 
premises forever against the Lawfull Claims or Demands of any Person or 
Persons whatsoever free and clear from all Incumbrances of what kind or 
Nature soever, Quit rents only excepted. In Witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand and seal this Fourteenth day of May 1788.

Oxley & Herbert Pritchard, two of the subscribing witnesses and ordered to 
be registered.
