This Indenture made the twenty eight day of October 1779 between Simon TURNER of the County of Wake North Carolina of the one part and James CHURCHWELL. A certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and in the said Bertie County and State aforesaid near the Head of Rocquist Perquoson containing by estimate One Hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows beginning at a standing in a patent line granted to Robart HODGES now William HARRELL corner thence running West along said patent line to the center of a Read Oake White Oake and Sweet Gum a corner of said thence along said patent line to a Willow Oake a corner made in said patent line then along another marked trees to a Sweet Gum William HARRELL other corner thence to the first station which parcel of land was by patent Granted to Robert HOGDES and from him conveyed to Francis HARRELL by Deed of sale Bearing date and day of May 1732 the said Frances HARREL give it by Will to his son Shadrack HARREL he conveyed it to William TURNER by Deed of Sale bearing date the 18th day of ? 1764 by said William TURNER made no mention of said land in his will it then decended to Simon TURNER being his Eldest son will more fully appear together with all houses edifices wood waters loe (sic) Grounds etc...cathy Simon TURNER seal in presence of Tabittia FREEMAN John TURNER Absalom CARNEY Jurt. Nov. Court 1779 Proved in due form of law by the oath of Absalom CARNEY NOTE: I am interested to know if anyone has the deed from Robert HODGE to Frances HARRELL as mentioned in the deed below. Also I would like to know the family group sheet for Frances HARRELL. If anyone has access to this I would very much like to have it.
