Job Umphlet for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty Silver Dollars to him in hand paid by the Sd Samuel Duning Sen. the receipt whereof he the Sd Jobe Umphlet doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained & Sold alein & confirm unto the Sd. Samuel Dunning Sen. & by these presents doth grant bargain & Sell aline & confirm unto the Sd Samuel Dunning Sen. his heirs & assigns forever a certain parsel of Land lying & being in Bertie County aforesd on Hearts delight pososon bounded begining as followeth Begining at a pine in heart delight & running South 18 pole to a pine Phillip Rawles corner thence along his line south west seventy three pole to a post oak thence south thirty seven & a half east-two hundred & twelve pole to a red oak then North seven east fifty four pole to a pine then north forty three west thirty pole to a pine then North twelve west seventy four pole to a pine then north seven East one hundred nineteen pole to Dempsy Cook Baker line in hearts delight pocoson then north Eighty five west one hundred & ten pole through the pososon to the first Station containing one hundred and seventeen acres of Land be the same more or less & also all land trees wood underwoods tithes commons common of pastures profits commodities Hereditrs unto ways waters & appertenancy to the Sd parsel of Land above mentioned belonging or in any wise appertaining and also the reversion & reversing remainder & remainders Rents & services of the Sd premises and of every part thereof & all the Estate right title Interest claim & demand whatsoever of him the Sd Jobe Umphlet to the Sd parsel of Land. To have and to hold the Sd messuage Tenement tract or parsel of Land & all & singular the premises above mentioned & every part thereof with the appertenances unto the Sd Samuel Dunning his heirs & assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the Sd Samuel Dunning his heirs & assigns forever and his the Sd Jobe umphlet for himself & his heirs the Sd messuage tenement tract or parsel of Land & premises & every part thenceof free from all Incumbrances the tax of it only Excepted against him & his heirs & against all & every other person or persons whatsoever to the Sd Samuel Dunning his heirs & assigns forever shall & will forever defend by these presents.
