THOMAS MIERS enters fifty (50) acres of land in Bertie County between his own line and WILLIAM FREEMAN's line and THOMAS VEAL's lin August 10, 1778. Signed by Thomas Miers I, Thomas Miers, for and in consideration of one hundred and twenty five pounds North Carolina Currency to me in hand paid by Thomas Veal have given up to him the above entry and design David Turner the Entry Taker to countermand his order to the Surveyor already issued and give the Surveryor an order to survey the same above written entry for the said THOMAS VEAL. Witness my hand the 4th day of December Anno Dom 1779 Thomas Miers Witness: Andrew Burn Wilson Liscomb and also David Turner Entry Taker. You are therefore here required as soon as maybe to lay off and survey the same for the said Thomas Veal and make return of your plans and certificates together with this warrant in one form according to the directions of the Law and this shall be your sufficient Warrant for so doing. Observing that the Warrant you have rec'd No 88 to survey the same land for Thomas miers is by these presents disannuled and made of no effect. Given under my hand the 4th day of January Anno Dom 1780.
