W.W. Willoughby and others to 
David Hoggard 
DEED
This Indenture made this 10th day of March 1853 between
Elizabeth Willoughby, Wright Willoughby, Joseph
Willoughby and Sarah Willoughby of the State of North
Carolina and County of Bertie on the one part and David
Hoggard of the other part  with forth that the said
Elizabeth Willoughby, Wright Willoughby, Joseph
Willoughby and Sarah Willoughby of and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred dollars in had paid by the
said David Hoggard hath given, granted, bargained and
sold unto him the said David Hoggard one certain part
of the tract of land that belong to the estate of John
Willoughby deceased bounded by the land of Asa F. Early
and said Hoggard’s own land containing eighty six acres
of land be the same more or less to have and to hold
unto him the said David Hoggard his heirs and assigns
from all the above bargained persons? Unto him the said
David Hoggard his heirs and assigns forever and the
said Elizabeth Willoughby, Wright Willoughby, Joseph
Willoughby by and Sarah Willoughby do warrant same and
forever do find all the above bargained part of land
free and clear  from all manner of encumbrances
whatsoever,  and from all persons claiming by and
through as in entered where of us hath herewith set our
had and seals this day and year above written.

Bertie County Court of May term 1853

This deed from Wright Willoughby, Sarah A. Willoughby,
Joseph G. Willoughy and Elizabeth Willoughby to David
Hoggard was proved in open Court by the oath of Harvey
I. Muth? one of the subcribing witnesses thereunto and
ordered to be recorded.
