Courthouse William Wilson to Samuel Eldridge Know all men by these presents that I, William Wilson and Rebekah, his Wife in the Precinct of Bertie in the Province of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds, to us is hand paid by Samuel Eldridge of the Precinct and Province aforesaid have bargained sold alienated and set over and doe for us and ours heirs forever grant, bargain, sell, and deliver enfeoff, transfer and confirm unto the said Samuel Eldridge his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract dividend or parcel of land containing two hundred sixty-five acres, it being the half of a tract of land granted to the said Rebekah whose SIR NAME WAS THEN BRACEWELL and now the said William Wilson wife, for five hundred and ninety acres by patent bearing note of first day of March Seventeen Hundred and Nineteen. A being at this present time in the actual possession of the said Samuel Eldridge, and is to be at the lower part of the Survey of Patent, an equal half of the tract ! aforesaid, to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all houses, orchards, gardens, woods, ways, and waters, with all other rights and privileges, profits, commodities and advantages with forever to the said land belonging or in any wise assertaining unto him the said Samuel Eldredge, his heirs and assigns forever, in as much as full and ample manner to all intents and purposes as we ourselves might or could have enjoyed the same by virtue of the before recited patton or otherwise or as the most deemed the law can divise, doe hereby further covenant premises affirm and agree to and with the said Samuel Eldredge, his heirs and assigns and the said land and every part thereof is clear and free from all and all manner of former and other gifts, grants, bargains, sales, jointures, dowers & mortgages, Wills, Intails, Judgments and all other manner of incumbents forever and that we have at the time of the sealing and delivery hereof in and to all and ! singular the premises a good pure and indifferent estate of inheritance in the which we hereby transfer and oblige ourselves our heirs, Executors and administrators to warrant and defend this and sale of all and singular the premises with their appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Eldridge his heirs and assigns forever against all and all manner of person or persons whatsoever and will acknowledge this instrument of deed of conveyance in Open Court to be held for the preabove to be our real act and deed there to required, in witness whereof we have here unto put our hands and seals this ninth day of May 1726 Signed sealed & delivered William Wilson (seal) In the presence of Rebekah Wilson (seal) William Drake , William Ricks Bertie Prect.
