Know ye that I the said Levy Wimberly of the State of North Carolina and county of Bertie for and in consideration of the love, good will, and affection which I have and to bear towards my son, John Wimberly of the same state & county aforesaid do give, grant, & by these presents do freely give & grant unto the said John Wimberly after the death of myself and my wife, Hannah Wimberly a certain piece, parcel & tract of land whereon I now live, bounded as followeth. Beginning at a Gum [tree] Tunstall's corner on the southside of Cashy Swamp, from thence running down the said swamp to the Deep Run, Thence up the run to a White Oak From thence a line of marked trees to Tunstall's line Thence along said line to the 1st station, containing one hundred acres more or less, I give the above said land to my said son, John Wimberly after the death of myself and my wife, Hannah to him his heirs and assigns. To have hold and quietly possess the aforesaid land & plantation after my death and the death of my wife,without any manner of conditions whatsoever & if I should dye before my wife, I give her free liberty of one half of my land and plantation during her life and then to my said son, John Wimberly his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof I the said Levy Wimberly has hereunto set my hand this 5th day of October in the year of our Lord 1793. Levy Wimberly (seal) Witness: Joseph Horn, Benjamin Harrell Nov Term 1794.
