Written: March 1817

The original deed of which this is a copy I suppose to be lost as I have not
possession of it. I know not where it is but I do hereby  for and in
consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Richard
Veale of the state of North Carolina of county of Bertie the ? whereof I hereby
acknowledge assign & set over to him the said Richard Veale his heirs or assigns
all the right title & interest I have in the within named premises. In testimony
of which I have here to set my hand & applied my seal this eighteenth day of
March Anno Dominus 1817.    John Wimberly

May Term 1817.
This deed from John Wimberly to Richard Veale was proved in open court by the
oath of James Wimberly, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. Ordered to be
registered. Solomon Cherry
