Witnesseth that the said JACOB BRASWELL for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven pounds cert. money of Virginia to him in hand already paid and satisfied have given, granted, bargained sold aliened, released ensecsed and confirmed and by these present doth absolutely give grant alien ens?, and confirm unto the said WILLIAM RUFFIN his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or divident containing 278 two hundred and seventy eight acres, be it more or less with PLANTATION. Situated lying and being on NORTH SIDE MORATTOCK RIVER in the VASARY MEADOWS within the said prect from a marked tree in RICHARD BRASWELL's line on the lower side the HOGPEN MEADOW over against the POLE MEADOW then 45 East to a Hicoory JOHN COTTEN's corner then along his line N 20 W 228 pole to a hicory RICHARD BRASWELLS's corner then along his line S 85 W to the POLE MEADOW. So down the center of that meadow to the place begat at and is part or parcel of a tract of land formerly granted to JACOB BRASWELL for 528 five hundred twenty eight acres dated the first day of April 1723 with all the singular the premiese, the rights , appertenances whatsoever to the said land in anywise belonging or appertaining to have and to hold the said land and all and singular the premises unto the said WILLIAM RUFFIN in his heirs and assings forever, in as pure, absolute, enparent manner as the same is granted to the said BRASWELL by the patent aforesaid.
