Miss Mary Castellow visited Misses Carrie, Elizabeth Louisa Cowand Saturday night. Misses Lillie, Eva and Bettie Alice White were the guests of Miss Emily D. Hoggard Sunday and accompanied her to church Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Jernigan of Elm Grove, visted Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Cowand Sunday. Messrs. L.R. White and J.N. Pierce attended the Orphan Concernt at Bethany July 2nd. Miss Emily D. Hoggard spent Sunday afternoon with Misses Emily Odell and Berty Cowand. Mr. W.D. White, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hollowell of near Askewville, visited Mr. and Mrs. Worley Cowand Sunday. A large crowd gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Cowand Sunday afternoon and spent an enjoyable evening. Henry Cowand, left for Norfolk VA, Saturday where he will spend the 4th. Mr. L.R. White spent Saturday night with his pastor, Rev. Lineberry of Colerain. The boys of Ross's is expecting to have another debate in short. G.C. Castellow is spending some time in Norfolk, VA M.L. Baker and wife, of near Capeharts were the guests of relatives near Ross' Sunday. Alley Cowand is spending some time in Washington, D.C. S.V. Cowand and wife of Merry Hill came down Sunday on his new car and spent the night with his parents. A large crowd attended service at Ross' 4th Sunday night. "Brown Eyes"
