Edenton Gazette, Dec. 8, 1812 December 8, 1812
                               $20 REWARD
                                DESERTED 
   From the Barracks of Tarboro', MILES ROLLINS , born in Bertie County, aged 
21 years, five  feet and seven  inches high, dark  complextion, dark  hair and 
grey eyes, also a farmer. ROLLINS was on furlough for a short time, having a 
fever and ague. 
   Twenty Dollars reward will be given for apprehending the above soldier and 
delivering to some office in the U.S. serive, and all resonable expenses paid. 
All masters of vessels are forewarned of harboring said deserters.
